Summary:

Our research object is to use virtual reality technology (VR) to help the patient, who has the affecting hand with a motor condition, to better recover the mobility in his therapeutic phase. This pathology is the Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS or RSD). The increasing pain associated with hand movement is the main obstacle in rehabilitation of CRPS. In our research, whether the use of VR to lure the patient in his motion perception is an interesting alternative therapeutic that we want to test. We propose to test different virtual feedback, viewed on a computer screen is to analyze their effects on motor skills. These feedbacks are adapted in order to change the perception of realized movement and promise, eventually, the optimized rehabilitation actions.
