Summary:

The aim of this thesis is to study the photoacoustic inverse problem. First, we solve numerically the photoacoustic direct problem, i.e. the optical diffusion equation and the wave propagation equation. In a second part, we introduce a correction of the acoustic speed that will improve the reconstruction of the initial pressure and of the optical properties. We solve this problem numerically for a piecewise constant medium with different methods (time reversal, minimization).
